Students learned all about Internet Safety. Some important rules include; *Don't give out private information such as your last name, address, date of birth, school, passwords, email and phone number. *Never talk to strangers! *If you come across something inappropriate, tell an adult and 'walk' away (close the site). *If a site requires you to create an account, always ask permission from a parent.
Students will be creating Internet Safety Posters. The will learn word processing skills such as borders, adding pictures, changing fonts, size and alignment. They will also learn how to add and format pictures. This is a perfect activity to get them started on Microsoft Word
What is next? You will be learning how to type for the month of October. We will be using online Internet sites and using typing activities to build accuracy and speed.

You will learn correct posture and finger positioning on the keyboard. You will be able to identify keys and be able to types without looking. Typing Web is a program that goes until fifth grade- Please sign on at home for extra practice! Everyone has their own username and password. You can follow the lessons on your own We don't have the time to spend on this in class :(
